Jennifer M. Anderson, a paramedical aesthetician and professional makeup artist, is opening Skin Chic. The business's grand opening, slated for November 16, will be hosted by Toll Brothers at The Harbour Isles, 206 Royal Bonnet Drive, Apollo Beach.

My name is Jennifer M. Anderson and I am a Paramedical Aesthetician and Professional Makeup Artist. I have been licensed and practicing for 11 years. I graduated from The Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, MN. I started working with make up artistry at the age of 16.

I am now launching my new company, Skin Chic' Inc. I decided to start my own company due to the demand and need for continuing education for the licensed professional. I developed the clinical skin care program curriculum and taught at a local college. At that time I noticed that there was very little time dedicated to makeup application and theory. I also saw that there are no Licensed Professionals with my expertise and education who will travel to a client’s home and give them their undivided time to examine the skincare and makeup they are using. I saw a great need for this service as well as others in the field.

I provide three services that are unique, artistic, and innovative in the beauty industry. Seminars for the professional and non professional, one on one individual, personal consultations and special event professional make up application.

My seminars will focus on skin care and make up technique….application and theory, step by step instruction, salesmanship, marketing skills and a focus on specific areas of the face. The class size is limited so each student can get personal attention.

One on One Individual Consultation allows the client to be in the privacy of their own home with plenty of time to concentrate on her skin care and make up needs... I will do a professional skin analysis and then an examination of the skincare regime and makeup they use. Together we discuss what is working for her and what needs to be replaced. The client then receives a complete makeup application with detailed step by step instruction. All make up is then removed and the client then has the opportunity to reapply the makeup herself with further instruction. It is private non-threatening, relaxed time for the client to learn exactly what suits her needs and lifestyle. She will have my expertise and complete attention for 2 to 3 hours…having a licensed Medical Aesthetician and Professional Makeup artist at her disposal.

Professional Makeup Artistry is the most artistic of my services. I provide makeup application for a variety of special events: Bridal, wedding party, theater, photography, print advertising, fashion shows, and photo shoots are just to name a few. I am willing to go on location… to the client’s home, church, photo studio, etc. I also provide a day rate if I am hired for a photo shoot or fashion show.

My Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony is on November 16, 2007 at 5:00-7:30 PM. The Ruskin Chamber of Commerce will be conducting the ribbon cutting. The event is being hosted by Toll Brothers in one of their beautiful model homes.
